Priest Lake or Percy Priest Lake is a community this is on the border of the Percy Priest reservoir just south of Nashville Tennessee, but still within the Nashville Metro area. The community sits out on a peninsula surrounded by Harbor Town Condos, Priest Lake Park, Percy Priest Watch and Priest Lake Forest. All her communities just off of Smith Springs Road and several have beautiful views of the reservoir/Lake.
This is primarily a residential community with the harbor town condominiums towards the end and the Anderson recreational area, Anderson Beach, and the Anderson campground at the far end of the peninsula bordering the lake. The lake is formed by J Percy Priest damp located between six and 7 miles of the capstones River, easily visible from Interstate 40. It’s located about 10 miles east of downtown Nashville and covers a portion of Davidson, Rutherford, and Wilson counties consisting of over 14,000 acres of water.
Schools and Nearby
There are two entrances to the peninsula; Anderson Road and Clearlake Drive. Both circle the peninsula filled with residential neighborhoods, homes, duplexes, and townhouses. At the intersection of Smith Springs Road in Anderson Road are several shops and restaurants including Foodland, RightAid, MAPCO Mark, and a couple of restaurants.
Priest Lake is served by the Metro Nashville Public school district. Residents typically utilize the Smith the Springs Elementary school, the Apollo middle school, and the Antioch high school.
Condominiums along priest Lake start at about $150,000-$220,000. Single-family homes were built between the 1970s and 1990s and range from about $130,000-$280,000. These are primarily two-story homes with a few new construction properties available in just a couple small neighborhoods and most homes feature either trilevel or split-level, between three and four bedrooms, and from 1500 ft.² to about 2600 ft.² on average. Homes do not have beach access but several may have access to the Anderson Road public use area, which borders the lake around the entirety of the peninsula.
