Woodbine Tennessee Homes For Sale
Woodbine is a smaller neighborhood in the South Nashville district bordered by Interstate 24 to the east, Interstate 440 to the north, Highway 41 A to the west and Thompson Lane to the south. This is primarily a residential neighborhood with several community parks, churches, and schools within its boundary.
Woodbine seems to be increasing in home values over the last couple of years. This could be due to homebuyers who fill price out of other urban neighborhoods including South Nashville, and neighborhoods further south like Antioch. Although home prices went up across the Nashville area, Woodbine seems to be a pretty stable neighborhood. Many residents feel it’s the only downtown neighborhood that has backyards. Similar homes in other neighborhoods can sell for $100,000 more and Woodbine is especially attractive to millennial’s who want to be able to walk or a short drive to great destinations such as flat rock coffee, restaurants, and downtown Nashville hotspots. Many residents say that the best burger in town is located in Woodbine, although residents are hesitant to say exactly where.
This goes to show that Woodbine is an extremely tightknit community and it’s more attainable than nearby neighborhoods where median home prices are reaching over $400,000.
Woodbine is part of the Nashville Metro school district and most homes are served by the Fall-Hamilton elementary school or the Whitsitt Elementary, the Glenncliff comp high school and the Wright middle school.
Around the Area
Residents of Woodbine give it a B for families, A for nightlife, and A for diversity. The median home value is about $125,000 with the median rent of about $800. About half of the residents in Woodbine are homeowners. (as of the publishing of this article)
Over on Highway 41 A are the primary services such as shops, restaurants, markets, convenience stores, parks, churches, and more. Most of Woodbine has easy access to the Interstate 440 interchange, which provides access to downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. It’s really centrally located and due to its affordability, makes a great option for first-time homebuyers or those that are downsizing.
